PACHI PULUSU

Pachi Pulusu

INGREDIENTS:
Tamarind-------------------Key lemon size
Mustard Seeds-------------1/2 tsp

Cumin Seeds---------------1tsp
Red Chillies----------------3
Green chillies--------------4
Turmeric-------------------1/4 tsp
Water ----------------------2 cups of standard measuring cup
Oil--------------------------2tsp
Curry leaves---------------few
Hing-----------------------a pinch
Salt,Sugar-----------------to taste
Coriander leaves----------few chopped
urad dal-------------------1 tsp

DIRECTIONS:

1.Add 2 cups of water to tamarind ball and microwave for 1 mins.Once cooled extract the juice from the pulp and discard.

2.Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,urad dal.After they turn brown add red chillies ,curry leaves, Hing,Turmeric.Turn off when done.

3.Take the 2 cups of extracted tamarind water and add salt ,Sugar, chopped onions, chopped chillies, chopped coriander leaves and finally the tempered mixture.

4.Mix well.Taste and adjust salt/sugar/water and serve it with hot rice after 15-30mins to get the flavor right.
