INGREDIENTS:
Uncooked Rice ------------1 cups of standard measuring cup
Lemon ---------------------3 big size ones
Turmeric -------------------1 tsp
Ground nuts--------------- 2 tbp
Channa dal----------------- 1 tbp
Cashew nuts ---------------2 tbp
JalapeƱos-------------------2
Cumin seeds--------------- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds-------------- 1 tsp
Red chillies -----------------3
Urad dal ---------------------1 tsp
Curry leaves----------------- few
Grated coconut-------------- 2 tbp
Hing--------------------------1/4 tsp
Oil ----------------------------3 tbp
Salt----------------------------to taste
DIRECTIONS:
1.Take raw rice and cook it in rice cooker.
2.In a kadai, heat 3 tbp oil.
3.Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal,channa dal,peanuts, fry them until they turn light brown.
4.Now in the same pan, add red chillies,cashew nuts and curry leaves,slit green chillies and saute them till cashew nuts turn light golden .
5..Turn off and once it starts to cools down add coconut ,turmeric.
6..Now sqeeze the lemon juice from lemons and immediately add to cooked rice. Depending on ur tastebud add more or less.
8.Add salt and the fried items to the rice.
9.Mix well and serve with fresh yogurt.
