LEMON/NIMMAKAYA RASAM

INGREDIENTS:


Tamarind------------lemon size

Lemon---------------2 big size

Mustard Seeds-------1/2 tsp

Cumin Seeds---------1tsp

Red Chillies-----------3

Green chillies---------4

pepper powder--------1 tsp

Urad dal---------------1 tsp

Turmeric--------------1/4 tsp

Water ----------------2cups of standard measuring cup

Oil--------------------2tbp

Curry leaves----------few

Salt-------------------to taste
DIRECTIONS:
1.Add 1/4 cups of water to tamarind ball and microwave for 1 min.

2. Extract the juice from the pulp once cooled.

3.Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,urad dal.

4.After aminute add red chillies ,green chillies,curry leaves.

5.Add the tamarind juice and the remaining 2 cups of plain water.

6.Add salt and lemon juice ,pepper powder ,turmericto the water.

7.Let it come to boil.

8.Now turn off and serve it with hot rice .
