CHEDDAR GARLIC BISCUITS

Photobucket

The name itself says am "Cheesy".This particular pale-colored cheese is so different in flavor and smell that at simply having a bite you dont even know whether it can enhance or simply spoil any dish....To be honest i really dint like its taste when eaten raw.I was recommended by one of my friend to have it as its real good for women and kids.I was so curious and bought it.....But I was dissappointed at the first bite.....I didnt want to simply throw it away....I googled for some recipes where i found this one and tried it.I used the same cheese in making Mac&cheese ,in burgers ,whereever i felt like.....after a few tries i really dont have any inhibitions about using.having it the next time. And one more thing the older [this cheese] gets, the more the bacteria produce enzymes that break down its fats and proteins.

These biscuits were an easy enough thing to make, came out simple soft and they turned out to be a great Evening food/Bfast that I strongly suggest for this weekend!

INGREDIENTS:

All Purpose Flour----------------2 cups

Butter Unsalted-----------------2 tbps

Baking powder-------------------1 tsp

Milk------------------------------1 cup

Garlic-----------------------------2-3 cloves minced

Sharp cheddar cheese-----------1/2 cup-1 cup packeddepending on your obsession

Egg wash-------------------------1 egg+1 1/2 tablespoons water or milk(optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees and use a large non-stick baking sheet or line a tray with parchment paper..

2.In a large bowl sift together the flour and salt.See that u use butter at room tempurature and crumble into the dry ingredients until a crumbly meal is formed.

3.Add in the cheese and garlic and combine. Mix in the milk slowly without kneading.

4. When fully incorporated, take a big tbp of the batter and drop it onto the baking sheet until all of the dough has been used. No need of shaping them.

5.Gently brush them with eggwash and bake them for 25-35 minutes or until lightly browned on the top.

6.Serve hot with any dip or just them.
